The Learning Commons at Pingree School

The concept of creating a LEARNING COMMONS has been an ongoing commitment for Pingree School, and OLSON LEWIS + Architects has been a part of this endeavor from the beginning.

Starting with the library in 2012 the annex was transformed into THE HUB, a space for innovative & collaborative based learning. The most recent addition to the LEARNING COMMONS concept is the Pingree Dining Commons, which opened at the start of the 2015/2016 school year. A natural gathering spot, the Dining Commons has been furnished not only with traditional cafe-type seating, but also includes furniture designed for more collaborative interaction (see photos).
