STUDENT HARD HAT TOUR
Even as this project began, the students were engaged in a virtual tour of the proposed facility. During construction, the architect and builder gave tours and discussed where it started as an idea, where it is as it is being built, and what it was to be as a place for exploration and innovation.

HEALEY FAMILY CENTER for INNOVATION
The INNOVATION center is a hub of learning on the campus at Derby Academy. It provides richly equipped space for critical thinking, creative production and analytical experiences that integrate with studies and enhance classroom activities at all grade levels.
The Center supplies resources and facilities that help students push their imaginations, explore different ways of solving problems, and embrace experimental failure as a valuable part of learning. Collaborative thinking, design and creation for an interconnected world are the heart of the Center’s mission (from Derby’s website).
