Interior Designer

Interior Architecture: Full Time Designer needed with 5 years experience

OLSON LEWIS + (OL+) is looking for an individual with expertise in interior design and architecture to join our architecture and design team based in Manchester, MA.

If you are invigorated by an environment in which you are encouraged to explore innovative approaches to design and project delivery, this is the position for you. This is an excellent opportunity for an Interior Designer with at least five years of relevant work experience. Located in centuries-old Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA, OL + is a full service architectural firm whose design process is a collaborative one. We work in partnership with our clients, listening closely, so that architectural solutions that we develop fully support our client’s goals and aspirations.

The ideal candidate should be a highly capable, self-directed individual with five years experience, who employs a high level of autonomy in their work. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

GENERAL OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The individual in this position, along with other members of the team, will:
• Perform site analysis, including surveying existing conditions and obtaining field measurements
• Help prepare: plans, elevations and details, reflected ceiling plans, millwork design, furniture layouts, finish plans and schedules
• Execute red-marked revisions
• Coordinate with consultants related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and safety
• Research and participate in FF+E, selection, creation of specifications, and procurement
• Order and organize samples
• Creation of presentation books and materials
• Participate in the construction administration of projects and review submittals, finish samples, and shop drawings
• Help with small day-to-day tasks as needed

REQUIREMENTS
• Five years experience working in the field of interior design or architecture, preferably with a focus in commercial projects
• Professional Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
• Fluency in ArchiCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Sketch-up, and rendering software
• Strong 3D modeling, graphic design and presentation skills
• On a path to NCIDQ and LEED Accreditation a plus
