Crafting Precision Spaces: Vaisala’s New U.S. Headquarters in Burlington, MA
Global environmental and industrial measurement leader Vaisala has officially opened its new U.S. headquarters in Burlington, Massachusetts—a modern, high-performance space designed to reflect their mission: “Take every measure for the planet.”
OLSON LEWIS + Architects proudly led the design of this 28,000-square-foot headquarters, creating a facility that balances advanced technical functionality with a human-centered workplace environment.
A Headquarters Built for Precision
Located within GenLabs’ premier life science campus, Vaisala’s new facility includes:
- ISO-17025 and NIST-compliant calibration laboratories supporting precision measurement of humidity, temperature, and pressure
- Open office areas and collaboration zones to encourage flexibility and teamwork
- Employee-centered amenities, including access to a café, fitness center, and informal meeting spaces
Designing these advanced calibration environments within a commercial shell required OL+’s specialized expertise, ensuring Vaisala’s laboratories meet the highest standards of accuracy and reliability.
A Collaborative Process
“Seth Morrissey was our principal architect. He and his team were very capable and easy to work with,” shared Yani Bettencourt, Vice President, Industrial Measurements Americas at Vaisala. Their feedback highlights OL+’s focus on transparent communication and partnership throughout the project.
